Rainy Day

January 23, 2012

As I sit here in the library I see all the rain drops running down the windows. It reminds me of last transfer day when it was also really rainy. Luckily this transfer day I am not going anywhere. Elder Hansen and I are staying together for another transfer as are the two other elders in our district. Elder Tait is moving from the YL5 to Fullerton so that is exciting for him.

We had another great week. We went to a birthday party of a less active member and it was the coolest thing ever. It was kung fu panda themed and the whole place was decked out crazy. There was fake sushi that was actually Rice Krispies. We had Panda Express for food. There were dragons and stuff hanging up everywhere. Way awesome b-day party.

We had some more sushi this week and I tried some more interesting food. I had squid, octupus, eel, and sea urchin. It is interesting to try all of those crazy sea foods. I am really starting to like sushi which is bad because it is an expensive habit. Good thing we have nice members to take us.

We had a really great lesson with Lexi this week. She is 12 years old and her family is less active but she wants to get baptized. She was having a hard time understanding the Book of Mormon so we got her The Book of Mormon stories and it was cool to see how excited she got when she could actually understand what was going on. The Book of Mormon is the best.

We spent a couple of hours in a hospital this week. A lady in our ward is also our apartment manager and we went and started talking to her. She came out of the office and on to a grassy hill where she slipped and fell. She ended up fracturing her leg in three places. We had to call an ambulance to take her to the emergency room. We went to the hospital and gave her a blessing. She is doing ok now but has a big ol’ cast on.

We went to stake conference on Sunday which was good. Stephen the older brother of Jeremy got the Melchezidek Priesthood which is super awesome and we got to stand in the circle. That family is the best.

Well have a great week everyone!
Love,
Elder Arnold
